SKUN/A

This is a framing option that can be purchased when you add products totaling 30,000JPY(convert to USD) or more to your cart. This option is mainly for open edition prints.
With the addition of this option, we will send you the work framed so you can display it as soon as it arrives.

With this option, the print will be mounted with a backsheet to ensure a high and stable flatness.
We will use an aluminum frame for photo framing, with a UV-cut acrylic panel on the front to protect the work.

How to order

Please add the number of prints you wish to purchase to the cart.

If you have a preference for the color combination of the print and the frame, please specify the name of the work and the frame color in the comments section of your order. (If you do not specify, we will combine the colors at the artist’s discretion.

Note

  • Hooks for hanging on the wall are not included in this option. A hanging string is included.
  • If this option is selected, standard shipping charges will apply. Due to the increased size and weight, we cannot accept Letter Post or Small Packets.
  • Please understand that frames are purchased from official producers with a stable supply, so they will be more expensive than if you purchase them yourself from Amazon or other sources.
  • This is a standard framing, not a conservation framing for expensive works. (Conservation framing is considered when a single work is worth several hundred thousand JPY and more.)

*If, after adding this option, you manipulate the price in the cart and the purchase price falls below the specified value of 30,000 JPY, we will cancel your order.

Biography

Goh Uozumi is an artist working in the field of Art & Technology.
His works have focused on the ‘automation movements in civilization,’ in which humans use technology to mechanize intelligence, contracts, labor, creation, trust, and life.

He studied Media Art under Professor Seiko Mikami and works with algorithm-based methodologies that are capable of including non-human intelligence/existence.

He held a solo show of immersive audiovisual installation, Mk. God , in 2023 as the grand prize winner of the first Mynavi Award.

In 2020, he exhibited a large-scale work consisting of composite pieces, New Economic War at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo. It focuses on the theme that humans operate mass-less things as *New Resources* in today’s world.
Exploring the increasingly complex technologies and structures of domination, the work questions autonomy within the world system, or democracy in the essential sense of whether we can decide our own way.

Since 2015, he has released three works reflecting on the world transformation through algorithms, taking advantage of the emergence of cryptocurrency, a technology that has successfully mechanized *trust,* once the exclusive property of nature, like love, etc., that is, making ‘God’ socially unnecessary in ‘In God We Trust.’
空の国家 -State of Empty that artificial intelligence creates a (nation) state for itself, and New Order/Siren Call?  that visualizes cryptocurrency and distributed ledger as an origin of new social order were created as commissioned works by NTT InterCommunicationCenter[ICC] in 2016.
And the origin of the both works, Trustless Trust/Mk.God that evokes memories of future artificial systems won the grand prize of Digital Choc Award 2015 by Institut Francais Tokyo, Zinc, and SecondNature.

In his early career, he belonged to Waseda University’s Lab for Molecular Cell Network as a visiting researcher of Bio Art in 2014.
In 2012, OBSERVER N that extends theory-of-life reality by decentralized autonomous network system, was commissioned by The Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media[YCAM] , and his first major work, F – void sample that goes across the void and perception, won the encouragement prize of the 2009 Japan Media Art Festival.

Shipping, Delivery

◎ Shipping charges are based on the product and the shipping address.
The shop system will calculate and display the shipping charges when you enter your shipping address on the checkout page.

For shipments outside of Japan, additional costs such as customs duties may be required in addition to the shipping charges paid to us. Please bear those costs yourself.

*Although this is not a common occurrence, if you place a large order and the shipping cost exceeds the range of our system’s estimated shipping cost, the shipping cost will be lower than the actual required amount. In such cases, we may contact you individually after your purchase and ask you to pay for the missing shipping costs.

We deliver and ship our products from Japan by the following services.

Delivery within Japan – Mainly by Yamato Transport. / Some small items can also be delivered by Japan Post’s Letter post.
We deliver to all areas in Japan. However, we may switch to another carrier’s service if the value of one package exceeds 300,000 yen, in which case, additional measures may be required on an individual basis, such as delivery to remote islands or excess shipping charges.

Shipping outside Japan – We use EMS. / Some small items can also be delivered by Japan Post’s Small Packets.
EMS is available to many areas. However, we cannot deliver to some areas such as conflict areas and isolated islands. Before purchasing, please check the website EMS Countries and Areas – Japan Post for available delivery areas.

◎If the delivery address is within Japan, you can use Yamato Transport’s anonymous delivery service, which allows you to receive your package without revealing your address.

How to use this service

  1. Check the *Anonymous Delivery* box in the checkout page, and make a purchase without letting us know your address.
  2. We will send you an email with a *Delivery Address Request to Yamato Transport* before we deliver your package.
  3. Open the link in that e-mail and provide Yamato Transport with your address and other information to complete the *Package Acceptance Request Procedure*.
  4. We will send your package *after we confirm the procedure*.

*For details on the procedure for entering your shipping address at Yamato Transport, please refer to this page. (using LINE in the page, but we will notify you by e-mail.)

Smaller items, such as sheets only in finishing options, can be sent inexpensively by letter post by Japan Post. This service is available if it is selectable as a shipping method on the checkout page.

However, there is no delivery compensation or tracking, and anonymous delivery is not available.
Please also note that there are challenges in exchange for the low shipping cost, such as the fact that for prints larger than A3, the sheet is rolled up and sent in a tube.

In-stock items will be shipped within a few business days after your order is received.
Made-to-order and Pre-order items are produced from the time payment is received. The time from production to shipping is listed on the product page for each piece as a basic lead time.

The lead time is a rough estimate. The final delivery time will vary depending on the finishing option and the region of destination.

Depending on the type of finishing option, 1 to 3 weeks may be added to the basic lead time.
In our experience, many orders, including those with finishing, are delivered within 1-4 weeks. However, more time may be required if there are many orders, if the delivery is stopped due to a disaster or customs, or if the shipping destination is far from Japan.

*Since the artist personally handles production and shipping, it is difficult for us to give you an exact estimate of the delivery time or to meet your request for a specific date and time. Please do not purchase if you are in a hurry. We appreciate your understanding.

Delivery within Japan – Please use the Kuroneko Members service to coordinate your delivery.

  1. If you register with Yamato Transport’s Kuroneko Members, you can adjust the date, time, and location of your package pickup from the app or web page.
We are unable to accept the delivery date and time specifications at the time of purchase, so please use Yamato Transport’s service.
  2. In the case of letter post, it is not possible to specify the delivery date or track the package.

Shipping outside Japan – EMS cannot accept date and time specifications. Please use the tracking number we provide when we ship your package to adjust the date and time on the side of the postal service in your area. You are also responsible for checking the delivery status with the local shipping company and customs.

As our main products are made-to-order, we generally do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations for any reason other than the customer’s own.
Please see our Shipping and Returns Policy page for more information.

Returns & Exchanges

Returns and exchanges will only be made in the case of defects for which we are responsible, such as defective products, or upon mutual agreement between us and the customer.
As a rule, we do not accept returns or exchanges for the customer’s convenience because our main products are made-to-order.

Technical problems that are inevitable for a web store, such as a difference in color or impression between the product image and the actual product, or general problems that are inevitable due to the production or transportation of the product, such as small scratches during the production process or damage to the outer box that is not the product itself, do not constitute defects for which we are responsible, and we will not be held liable for such defects for any reason. We do not accept returns or exchanges due to such defects.

In the case of a defect for which we are responsible, we will accept the return of the product and a full refund including shipping charges, or an exchange of the product. In this case, please contact us within 14 days of receiving the product.
If you contact us after 15 days, or if you return the product without notifying us, we will not be able to return or exchange it.

Shipping charges for returns due to reasons other than defects for which we are responsible are the responsibility of the customer.

If the item for which you are requesting a refund is a rare item with a limited number of pieces, the item must be returned in principle because we must destroy said item responsibly to ensure that there are no duplicates with the same edition number.
